Butterfly in the sky...

If you immediately started singing the theme song to "Reading Rainbow" after reading my blog title, then you just scored some points. Who doesn't love a good 80's show?
I know I've been MIA for awhile, but it's for a good (and big!) reason. More to come on that later on (nope - not pregnant. Guess again). I was playing with Penny in the yard on Friday and noticed how my neighbor's tree was sprouting a bunch of yellow flowers yet again. It's definitely spring! I also noticed this bright orange butterfly that was clearly obsessed with these flowers, as he kept flying over and landing on them, leaving and coming back minutes later. He played this game for awhile until I finally realized he probably just wanted his picture taken. So, I did just that. He didn't sit still very well, but at least I got close enough to get a few shots.

Oh - and chances are, you'll have that theme song stuck in your head for the rest of the day. You're welcome.

Relax...

This past weekend, my husband and I went to stay at the Hyatt Clearwater Beach Resort, where we had our wedding reception last year (April 9th). It was a great weekend and we did nothing but relax - which was very well needed! The weather was picture perfect, just like it was last year :)

Puppy Playtime

I've been guilty of not using my camera much lately...not because I don't want to, but there's been so much going on and I feel like I've been running around too much! Friday, I came home from work and Penny was hyper as usual, so we spent some time playing in the backyard.

Don't mind me. Just carrying my water bowl around since apparently I think it's a toy.

Squirrel??

Caught in a Web

A few mornings ago, I walked outside to let Penny out and saw this big ol' spider web between our house and our neighbor's. It was early morning and the sun was shining through the web, which made it look kind of pretty. Well, as pretty as a spider web can be.

This little guy was watching me cautiously. He knew a squirrel-obsessed dog was right behind the front door.
